[OPLINLIST] Mandy Simon Joins State Library Staff

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Mandy Simon<mailto:msimon at library.ohio.gov> has joined its staff as a Library Consultant within the Library Programs and Development Department. She will help libraries with space planning and strategic planning. Mandy has over ten years of experience in the library profession. She comes to us from the Bexley Public Library where she was a Young Adult Librarian and then Collection Development Coordinator. Mandy's experience also includes Adult Services Librarian at Worthington Libraries and six years working in sales and advertising in the publishing field.  She was selected and participated in Library Leadership Ohio 2014 and ILEAD USA Ohio 2015, and recognized as an emerging leader in 2012 by the American Library Association. Mandy's outreach and contributions to librarianship include numerous conference and event presentations, and committee work for the Ohio Library Council and Take Five Youth Services Day.

Mandy earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University.
