Assistant Director:

The Bucyrus Public Library seeks a full-time, enthusiastic, innovative, community-oriented 
individual to serve as the Assistant Director. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, an 
excellent communicator and work to maintain and develop new partnerships with local 
organizations and agencies to market and raise awareness of the Library. The successful 
candidate will have a knowledge of core library services and programs, the ability to develop 
and implement goals and objectives and maintain an effective working relationship with
coworkers, officials volunteers, community representatives and the general public. Public media 
interaction, presentation skills plus an advance knowledge of computer software, 
social media and the evolving role of technology in the library is desired.

Preferred Qualifications: A combination of education, training, business and leadership
experience with a passion for library and community service. Master’s Degree in Library and 
Information Science from an accredited institution preferred. We will consider candidates 
working on MILS.

Salary & Benefits: $27,000-$30,000; Membership in the Ohio Library Council;
Medical, dental and vision coverage with sick leave benefits. Vacation package
negotiable based on experience and qualification. Tuition reimbursement negotiable.
