[OPLINLIST] Peter Kukla Joins the State Library Information Systems & Technology Department as Software Development Specialist

[cid:image005.jpg at 01D2C43B.C997A980]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Peter Kukla has joined its staff as Software Development Specialist in the Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Department. In addition to his duties in IS&T, Peter will fulfill the technology responsibilities associated with the Ohio Digital Network (ODN).  He will provide support to the participating partners with their technology questions and will work with State Library staff and DPLA to harvest, normalize and ingest the partner metadata.  Peter will work with the State Library ODN team on identifying and managing technology solutions related to the ODN and provide programming and technical support for all aspects of ODN. He will also be the liaison to the Technology Working Group.

Peter comes to us from OCLC, where he was a Consultative Services and Support Analyst for eight years. Before OCLC, he worked as Deputy Directory of the Fairfield County Board of Elections. Prior to that, he was an Associate Application Analyst for Information Dimensions / Open Text Corporation. Peter earned a Master of Library Science from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in English from The Ohio State University.
