Acclaimed Teen Novelist Visits The Dayton Metro Library


Maggie Stiefvater has been called one of the best writers of teen fiction working today (Entertainment Weekly). The NY Times bestselling author visits the Dayton Metro Library on Monday, November 13, to meet fans, talk about her writing process, and answer audience questions. The free program begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Eichelberger Forum at the Main Library, 215 E. Third Street, downtown.

"Maggie Stiefvater is well known for her paranormal fiction for teens, including books on faeries, magic, werewolves, ghosts, and more," said Maeghan Dolan, Teen Services Librarian at the Main Library. "Her characters are deep and richly described, and her plots are complex and riveting. She keeps readers on the edge of their seats with excitement."

Ms. Dolan has attended presentations by Ms. Stiefvater in the past, and always finds her entertaining.

"I've been a fan of hers since reading Shiver, from her Wolves of Mercy Falls series," said Dolan. "We are honored that such a popular author will be here to visit our patrons and talk about her latest book, All the Crooked Saints."

Stiefvater is an artist and musician in addition to writing. She lives in Virginia with her family. Copies of her books will be available for purchase at the event.
