[OPLINLIST] True crime, especially Ann Rule, expert needed

Hello,
We have a patron who is looking for a book.  She is not a true crime fan,
but she knew someone who was the subject of an Ann Rule book.  Or short
story.  Or article.

The patron has only a couple other clues, including "wife kept in basement"
and that the wife lived.

If you can give us any leads, we would be grateful.
