[OPLINLIST] FREE Digital Media Literacy training workshops in Cleveland and central Ohio

Ohio Ready to Read is pleased to announce that registration is open for these Digital Media Literacy training workshops for children's services librarians/specialists:

Friday, September 7 - Cleveland Public Library
Wednesday, November 7 - Worthington Public Library

This free, one-day workshop will equip attendees to confidently assist parents and caregivers as they navigate the digital world with their young children, from app selection to talking about and sharing screen time.

This workshop was originally developed by the Cuyahoga County Public Library, which was awarded a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant by the State Library of Ohio to implement a train-the-trainer plan in 2016. The Digital Media Literacy Training workshop being offered in 2018 is based on these trainings, with updates to incorporate new resources, new research, and emerging best practices.
