[OPLINLIST] Update on Genealogy Resources

Hello all,

I hope this day is finding you well. I know many of you have been eagerly
awaiting to hear OPLIN’s plans for genealogy resources. I am happy to let
you know that pending routine checks by our legal representation, OPLIN
plans to provide the following online resources to all public libraries and
the State Library starting* July 1, 2018*:

·         Ancestry Library Edition

·         HeritageQuest

·         African American Heritage
<http://www.proquest.com/products-services/databases/aah.html>

·         Fold3 Library Edition
<http://www.proquest.com/products-services/Fold3-Library-Edition.html>

I trust you are as excited as I am to be able to offer these resources to
our patrons. However,  *I ask that you not advertise these resources to
patrons until the contract with the ProQuest has been finalized*. Once the
contract process has been completed, OPLIN will issue out a formal press
release. For those of you currently providing one or all of these resources
to your patrons, the vendor will be in contact regarding options soon.
