ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Qualifications:  Westlake Porter Library seeks customer service and team-oriented professional.  Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited university or other relevant advanced degree required.  A minimum of 5 years managerial and supervisory experience in positions with progressive levels of responsibility leading teams in customer facing roles.  Experience in a public library preferred.

Brief Position Description:  This position oversees the library’s public service operations by leading, inspiring and motivating staff and by modeling behaviors that exemplify superior customer service.  Provides vision toward the library’s future.  Works with all departments to ensure smooth overall operations.

Hours:                   40 hours per week.  Day, evening and weekend hours as needed.
Position:              Exempt
Salary Range:     $64,800 - $97,200
