A message from Lorrie Germann:

Good Afternoon E-Rate Community,



This is a reminder of upcoming E-Rate deadlines.



*September 30, 2018*   -  *Critical* Service Delivery Deadline (“SDD”) for *FY
2017 non-recurring FRNs*.

·         Non-recurring services must be delivered and installed by
September 30th following the June 30th close of that funding year

·         If you requested funding for *Internal Connections* but are
unable to complete delivery and installation for reasons *beyond the
service provider's control, *you may request an extension by filing a *Form
500*, located in the EPC portal.

·         *Note: September 30th falls on a Sunday this year.  This deadline
does not roll-over to the next business day.*



*October 29, 2018** - FY 2017 BEAR (Form 472)* deadline for recurring
services (service received July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018)



·         The BEAR is located on USAC’s legacy system at
https://www2.sl.universalservice.org/bear/login.aspx.

·         *To login to the BEAR portal, you must have a PIN.*  If you’ve
misplaced your PIN or you’re a new filer, go to
www.usac.org/sl/tools/forms/pin.aspx for details on acquiring one.  Keep in
mind, PINs received in a previous funding year are still valid.

·         If you need additional time to file the BEAR, you may request and
automatically receive a single 120-day extension of the invoicing deadline
to submit invoices to USAC. *The request for an invoice extension must be
submitted on or before October 29, 2018, for the request to be timely
filed. *

·         You may request an extension once logged into the BEAR tool, by
clicking on “Deadline Extension” located on the menu bar at the top of the
page.



*October 29, 2018 -* *FY 2018 Form 486* deadline for funding committed in
Waves 1–12 (*all issued before July 1st*)

·         The Form 486 is filed in the EPC portal.

·         Applicants missing any Form 486 deadline should watch carefully
for “Form 486 Urgent Reminder Letters” in EPC.  These Reminders afford
applicants 15-day extensions to submit their Form 486s without penalty.
