Equality Award Call for Nominations

Do you know a person or a group that has made an outstanding contribution toward promoting equality in the library profession? If so, this announcement is for you.

We are seeking nominations for the ALA Equality Award. It is an annual award, sponsored by Rowman & Littlefield, consisting of $1,000 and a 24k gold-framed citation of achievement given to an individual or group for outstanding contribution toward promoting equality in the library profession. The contribution may be either a sustained one or a single outstanding accomplishment. The award may be given for an activist or scholarly contribution in such areas as pay equity, affirmative action, legislative work and non-sexist education.

The nomination form is at http://www.ala.org/tools/equality-award-nomination-form. Nominations should be received by February 1, 2020.
