A Note from the Executive Director
[https://neo-rls.org/photos/77531_07122021102150.jpg]Effective January 1, 2022, NEO-RLS will be offering individual memberships to persons in specific categories. Once again, a member suggestion inspired the staff and Board to create a new opportunity - providing those who are retired, unemployed, or outside the NEO-RLS region a way to easily participate in continuing education opportunities at a reduced cost. Individuals in these categories will be able to purchase an annual NEO-RLS membership and then register for CE programs and webinars at a 50% discount off the NEO-RLS Geographic Member cost. Memberships will run July 1-June 30 and can be pro-rated. The cost of the annual membership is $25 for retirees, $25 for those that are unemployed (for a maximum of 2 years) and $55 for those outside of the NEO-RLS region and/or the state. In addition, we are also offering an individual membership to those who are on a leave of absence from their position. This membership will be effective for a maximum of 2 years at an annual cost of $55 and applies only to those working in any library within the NEO-RLS region. Beginning in January, the NEO-RLS website will reflect the addition of these new individual categories of membership. If you know someone who is no longer associated with a library but would like to continue building their skills or someone who wants to maintain their ties to the library world through our Network Groups, please let them know that they will now able to do so through the new individual memberships. If you are outside of the NEO-RLS region and/or state, we invite you to take advantage of the individual Out of Region membership in order to receive continuing education at a reduced cost. We hope these new memberships fulfill a heretofore unfilled need. Please contact me<https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=54823487&nr=5940724573> with any questions. Together we are maximizing library potential. Have a great week!
