Take your library's annual report from creation to completion with this virtual workshop series!
Libraries do so many great things for the communities we serve, and we have the data to back it up! At the end of the year, what do you do with all of that great information? Do you tell your stakeholders the amazing things your library has done?

An annual report allows you to close the loop on assessment, tell your community members (and your administration) what your library has accomplished, and demonstrate the value of the work you do.

In this four-part virtual workshop, participants will discuss annual reports from different library types, evaluate what works and what doesn't, learn how to find and use data wisely, and focus special attention on digital accessibility and tools for creating a dynamic annual report.

Virtual workshops are a highly interactive learning experience – links to these sessions will not be available in OhioNet's Training Archive, and attendees are encouraged to attend in real-time.

Annual reports come in a huge variety of formats and should be tailored to meet the needs of the stakeholders in your community of service. In this introductory webinar, attendees will review the components of a report and explore the questions you should ask before you begin collecting data, creating graphics, or drafting language.

Gathering data for annual reports can seem like a daunting task. Where and how should you start? In this session, attendees will reflect on key questions to ask before they start digging and learn how those answers will guide their search for data. Explore a variety of data sources and discuss ways to connect your findings to departmental or institutional goals.

You’ve defined your goals, focused on your audience, and gathered your data. Now, how do you put it all together into an informative, impactful, accessible document? In this session, attendees will discuss basic design theory, review tools to help you streamline the design process, explore guidelines for creating accessible web content, and examine sample reports

Making the Most of Annual Reports (Session 4)
Congratulations, you’ve worked hard to create a great annual report! Don’t stick it in a drawer or let it gather dust on your desk — you have to get the word out about the impact your report documents. Discuss options for distributing your report, learn how to modify your message based on your audience, and explore ways to make the findings of your report part of your regular routine.
