[OPLINLIST] CSLP 2024 slogan & 2025 theme / call for volunteers reminder

Good morning,

The Collaborative Summer Library Program<https://www.cslpreads.org/> (CSLP) held its annual meeting for state reps online last Thursday. CSLP state reps voted on behalf of their states for the 2024 summer program slogan and 2025 theme.

The winners are...

2024 Slogan:  Adventure Begins at Your Library - theme is adventure
2025 Theme:  Art - slogan will be determined next year

(Adventure Begins at Your Library was the top vote-getter in the Ohio poll. Art came in 2nd to Mysteries in the Ohio poll.)

Upcoming CSLP themes/slogans:
2022 - Oceans of Possibilities (Oceanography) - artist Sophie Blackall
2023 - All Together Now (Kindness/Friendship/Unity) - artist Frank Morrison
2024 - Adventure Begins at Your Library (Adventure) - artist Juana Martinez-Neal
2025 - TBD slogan (theme will be Art) - artist TBD


ALSO:  You can still volunteer for a CSLP committee through next Friday, October 8.  Committees are the lifeblood of CSLP, a volunteer-driven organization. CSLP committee work is an excellent opportunity for professional participation at a national level. While the duties vary, committee obligations generally run for one calendar year. All committee work is done virtually, either through email, or through phone or online meetings. Attending the CSLP Annual Meeting is not required. Committees include: Budget and Finance, Child & Community Well-Being, Inclusion, Membership, School Outreach, Social Media, Statistics, Vendor, and several committees that support development of the CSLP Manual.
