Please excuse multiple emails…

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the launch of the Ohio Collection Analysis Initiative<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/library-programs-development/ohio-collection-analysis-initiative/>. Ohio library staff now have exclusive access to an original, self-paced, collection analysis initiative for considering collections that empower children and young adult readers by respecting and appreciating what makes them different and the same. This initiative provides the tools, time, and support to consider your library’s print collections for children and young adults.

“Librarians and library staff are continually working to ensure their collections are reflective of and meaningful to their communities,” expressed State Librarian Wendy Knapp. “The State Library of Ohio is proud to be the first state library to provide this data-driven collection analysis tool for libraries that serve children and young adults.”

“It is spectacular to partner with the State Library of Ohio on this initiative,” shares Nick Glass, the Founder and Head of TeachingBooks. “This empowering opportunity will enable library staff to pause, have tools and support at their disposal, and take a data-driven look at children’s and young adult collections in meaningful ways. We look forward to supporting libraries throughout all 88 counties, and being here to assist with your work.”
