[cid:image001.png at 01D807AA.7E98D690]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the 2022 Summer Library Program (SLP) Grant<https://library.ohio.gov/summer-library-program-grant/>.  The purpose of the grant program is to empower libraries to enhance their 2022 SLPs/Summer Reading Programs (SRP)s with library-led activities that spark creativity. A maximum award of up to $2,000 in federal LSTA<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/lsta-grants/> funds, with matching funds of 25%, are required for this grant. 
Libraries may use the awarded federal funds to purchase program materials, supplies, and/or contractual services for the activities offered to the community during the 2022 SLP.  Please refer to the FAQs tab<https://library.ohio.gov/summer-library-program-grant/#FAQs> for specific guidelines on the use of awarded funds.  Participating libraries are encouraged to collaborate with other community entities, organizations, or agencies that also serve the targeted age groups.  

Who Can Apply?

  *   Public libraries eligible to receive Ohio Public Library Funds (PLF)
  *   School libraries located in a school that is accredited by the State of Ohio
  *   Libraries that are part of an accredited institution of higher learning

  *   Special libraries within Ohio
  *   Ohio library consortia, professional associations, and regional library systems identified in “Libraries in Ohio,” LSTA Five-Year Plan 2018-2022<https://library.ohio.gov/documents/lsta-five-year-plan-2018-2022/> 

All applications must be completed by 11:59 p.m., February 15, 2022. The grant term runs from April 1 – August 31, 2022. The grant application process requires the completion of an online application.

Please note: This grant does not require the project coordinator to have an MLS/MLIS degree. Additionally, the use of Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) themes and materials is NOT required for a library to be eligible for this LSTA grant.
