[OPLINLIST] Deadline Extended: LSTA grant enables libraries to digitize and create new collections for the Digital Public Library of America

The days may be getting shorter, but we are happy to share that your window to apply for the Metadata Mini-Grant<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/lsta-grants/metadata-mini-grants/#About> has been extended!
Applications are now due on Friday July 29th, so if you have an existing or planned digital collection of 250 or more items and you’d like $4,999 to pay someone to help you add it to the Digital Public Library of America<https://dp.la/about>, this could be the grant you’ve been waiting for.
Grant money can be used to pay for both digitization and metadata remediation services, either with a vendor or independent contractor, and you have until March 2023 to complete the project.

DPLA brings digital collections from cultural heritage collections across the U.S. together in one place and makes them freely accessible to all.
