Position Opening – Adult Services Librarian

The Holmes County District Public Library is seeking applicants for the position of Head of Adult & Reference Services.  This is a full-time position with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week.  Compensation commensurate with education and experience.  Benefits include paid vacation, personal, sick and holiday leave; life insurance; health insurance; and participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.

Qualifications:

  *   MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited school preferred; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered
  *   2 years previous library experience



Primary duties:

  *   Plan, maintain, and promote the adult collection
  *   Develop and conduct a wide range of programs for adults
  *   Promote the library at community events
  *   Provide reference, readers advisory, and circulation services to patrons
  *   Maintain the Local History & Genealogy Room and oversee the work of the reference staff
