Children's Librarian - Youth Services, Main Library (Full-time)

Stark Library is seeking an outgoing, customer service-oriented professional to fill an opportunity as a Children's Librarian in our Youth Services department at Main.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exemplary library service to parents, educators, and other community members through the work of outreach with partner organizations and maintenance of the branch's children's collection. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing circulation duties as well as readers' advisory and business services.

This position is responsible for designing and implementing age-appropriate programming for ages birth-18, including storytimes, in-house events, and outreach activities.

Stark Library is seeking an outgoing, customer service-oriented library paraprofessional to fill a full-time Library Specialist role supporting our youngest patrons (ages birth through teens) at our Jackson branch location.

The Library Specialist serves a critical role in supporting the location's ability to perform programming, and outreach by developing, promoting, and implementing programs as well as assisting with programs developed by a branch Librarian. This role is also responsible for frontline customer service at a variety of service points and assisting with library collection maintenance.

Stark Library is seeking a Library Collections Specialist to fill an opportunity within our Technical Services Department at our Main Library in downtown Canton. The successful incumbent will have a demonstrated ability to use resources, like Sierra and BiblioCommons, for the purposes of data collection and cataloging.

This position is responsible for Eresource records including tracking, modifying, and ensuring accurate display in Library data software, and will also import, modify, and discard catalog records from vendors.

Stark Library is seeking a Technical Services Librarian who has a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to fill an opportunity within our Technical Services Department at our Main Library in downtown Canton, OH.

The successful candidate will be an experienced cataloguer with the knowledge of professional trends and attention to the evolution of inclusive cataloguing by updating and modernizing the subject headings in accordance with the modifications being implemented by the Library of Congress and by exploring incorporating inclusive local headings. Successful candidates will participate or study Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in libraries and have experience in data collection and analysis.

Participation or study of DEI in libraries and experience in data collection and analysis preferred.
