The Board of Trustees of the London Public Library is looking for an innovative, energetic leader to be the next Director of the library. The successful candidate must be committed to excellent patron service and dedicated to engaging with our community. We are seeking a director who will be focused on supporting and inspiring a dedicated and growing staff to advance the library's mission to serve our community.

The London Public Library is a school district library located in London, Ohio. Built in 1905, the London Public Library is a Carnegie library with the original building still intact. London is the county seat of Madison County and is located between Columbus and Dayton. The London Public Library has a service district of just over 14,000, with an annual budget of $1.1 million. Along with the money provided to the library through the state's public library fund, the library also has a 1.2 mil property tax levy that the community last passed with more than 75% support.

The London Public Library is a part of the Central Library Consortium (CLC). The CLC was formed in 1988 to provide integrated library services and facilitate other cooperative projects between public libraries in Central Ohio. The group consists of 17 libraries from Central Ohio that circulates over 26 million items per year.

This position has a minimum salary $66,560 with a competitive benefits package. A MLIS degree from an ALA accredited college or university is strongly preferred along with library management experience. Applications received before September 30, 2022, will be given priority consideration.
