The deadline reminder message from last week has been updated. Please note
the NEW deadline for submitting BEAR reimbursement--*October 30 for
FY2021*--and the details below.

Good morning ECF Community,

The FCC has just announced that they are providing an automatic, one-time
extension of the invoicing filing deadline to October 30, 2023, for any ECF
funding requests with an invoice filing deadline before October 30, 2023. The
deadline for most ECF funding requests from Windows 1 and 2 (FY2021) was
August 29th, 2023. Because services for these two rounds could go through
June 30th, 2023, the FCC acknowledged that sixty days for applicants to
file BEARs or service providers to file SPIs may require additional time to
complete the invoicing process.

Also, extending the ECF deadline will coincide with the E-Rate FY2022
invoicing deadline for recurring services and will hopefully eliminate some
confusion. Most of you know that the E-Rate invoicing deadline is typically
October 28th, but because the 28th falls on a Saturday this year, the date
is extended to the following business day: the 30th.
