[OPLINLIST] Analyze and Enhance Your Summer Reading Lists workshop this Thursday

[A group of children smiling  Description automatically generated with medium confidence]The State Library is hosting a workshop this Thursday, March 9 at 3:30 pm titled Analyze and Enhance Your Summer Reading Lists. With summer break and summer reading programs on the horizon, your book lists may already be rocked and ready to go. Why not take one more opportunity to evaluate the inclusivity of the titles that your students and patrons will spend their summers poring over? In this hands-on session, participants will have the ability to workshop their summer reading lists to ensure that all of their readers are represented. Registrants will walk away with a list full of titles that address potential areas of need within their lists, as well as an action plan that details how to implement those titles into their existing collections. While recordings will be made available to all registrants, we hope you will join us live for this active, hands-on session. All participants will receive professionally curated booklists from specialists at TeachingBooks and the State Library of Ohio, as well as Certificates of Attendance.

Last year, the State Library of Ohio announced the Ohio Collection Analysis Initiative.<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/library-programs-development/ohio-collection-analysis-initiative/> Since its launch, over 530 library staff from 80 counties throughout Ohio have registered for exclusive access to this original, self-paced, collection analysis initiative.
