Looking for some book-centric listening that highlights Ohio's literary landscape?
The Ohio Center for the Book has a podcast called Page Count that has been posting new episodes every other Tuesday since April 2022! The podcast celebrates authors, librarians, booksellers, illustrators, publishing professionals, and literary advocates in and from the state of Ohio.
Laura Maylene Walter does an amazing job hosting with engaging, interesting conversations. We've had some amazing episodes, including interviews with MacArthur Genius Grant recipients Hanif Abdurraqib and Jacqueline Woodson, author Thrity Umrigar, Library of Congress Center for the Book Director Guy Lamolinara, and CNN historian Douglas Brinkley; and virtual tours of the Toni Morrison Reading Room at Lorain Public Library and The Thurber House in Columbus, and many more!! Our most recent episodes featured two Ohio-based audio book narrators that can tell you how to break into the business yourself if you're considering a new direction in 2025!
