I'm excited to announce that registration is now open for Back to the Book XXIII: Readers’ Advisory, Historical Fiction, & Merchandising<https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=299321247&mm=99886656055>! Join us on Thursday, September 26th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg for a day filled with insightful sessions and networking opportunities.

The morning kicks off with the RA Toolbox: "Read a Book in Five Minutes" followed by the Guided Genre Reading Round Table (GGRRT): Introduction to Historical Fiction, presented by Ris Labib and Amber Salmon from Akron-Summit County Public Library.

In the afternoon, you're invited to bring one of your favorite books to share at your table. Allison Fiscus of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library will then lead a session on Merchandising for Patron Experience. The day concludes with a special appearance by historical mystery author Amanda Flower.

This is an event you won't want to miss—a chance to enhance your skills and connect with fellow libraries.

 Free traveling exhibit on teens & drugs from DEA

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Museum is making traveling displays available to public libraries. To request a display, interested librarians can either contact Jan McKay Wrzesinski, Museum Director of the DEA Museum, at deamuseum at dea.gov<mailto:deamuseum at dea.gov> or reach out to the DEA’s Detroit Division<https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=299372571&mm=99886656055>, which serves Ohio and Michigan.  A plus of going through a field division is that the library can request a speaker, and if the field division has a person available, they will try to arrange that. DEA Special Agents appreciate the opportunity to talk with youth.
