[OPLINLIST] Hotspot Batteries Policies/Procedures

Hi my fellow OPLIN Libraries!

We are seeing recently an increase in bulging batteries for our hotspots.
Has anyone else had this issue? How do you handle this?

Additionally, do you have policies/procedures for handling and lending
these hotspots since they're a potential fire hazard for staff and patrons?
What about liability?  since they're in people's homes?

I suppose this could also come in with anything with a battery, like
Playaway Views or Wonderbooks.

We're trying to find a solution that keeps everyone safe but isn't
unrealistically cautious and a burden on staff or patrons for the issue.
