In response to many of you that have asked, my simple reply is "Don't believe the hype".  My two Schnauzers have yet to taken (let alone fricasseed), and all is quiet on the Western "Ohio" Front.  We hired an interpreter to assist our Haitian patrons with basic library services (getting a card, using the computers and copiers, and so forth) and plan on hiring at least one more as we are adding two new branches.  Things are definitely still a bit tense here, but hopefully things will settle down and Springfield will no longer be front and center on the national (and international) scene.
