Chief of Staff - Metropolitan Library System (OK)

The Metropolitan Library System<https://www.metrolibrary.org/> (OK) is looking for a communicative and experienced executive to serve as Chief of Staff. This individual will provide strategic and operational leadership across the library system that serves the entirety of Oklahoma County, including over 800,000 people across suburban, urban, and rural areas. The mission of the Metropolitan Library System is to connect diverse communities with resources and experiences that educate and enrich lives. With 20 physical locations, the library benefits from a supportive community, a thriving Friends of the Library organization, and a Library Endowment Trust. The library is governed by the Metropolitan Library Commission of Oklahoma County, which consists of 27 members representing each municipality that has a library or library extension within its boundaries.

Qualifications: The minimum qualifications for this role are a master's degree in library and information science/studies from an ALA-accredited program; and seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in executive-level leadership or senior management, including supervision of multiple departments or teams. Experience working directly with or supporting a CEO or comparable executive leader or team, providing high-level operational and strategic support across multiple functions is preferred.

Compensation: The hiring salary range is $106,912 - $181,563 (with placement negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications) and an excellent fringe benefits package.

Assistant Director of Libraries - Broward County Library (FL)

Broward County Library<http://www.broward.org/library/Pages/Default.aspx> (FL) an innovative, creative, and resourceful model 21st Century Library seeks a collaborative, strategic leader with the ability to deliver results as Assistant Director of Libraries. As the 2020 Florida Library of the Year, Broward County Library is one of the busiest Florida library systems with its 37 locations. Broward County Libraries has two flagship locations: a Main Library which features the Storefront- Artist in Residence Program, Active Learning Center, the Studio for Teens, and Small Business Incubator; and the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center which features a museum, art gallery, special collections vault and state-of-the-art auditorium.

Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association in Library Science, Library and Information Science, or a closely related field; six (6) years of progressively responsible experience supervising the operations of a large library system or multiple locations, including four (4) years of supervisory experience is required.

Compensation: The starting salary range is $125,390.60 - $200,122.87 with placement dependent on qualifications. A competitive benefits package is included.
