How about trying out a promo to the Club by hosting a cookbook exchange? Patrons bring x number of cookbooks and get a ticket for each one they bring in to use to select a different cookbook. Start keeping your library weeded cookbooks now so you have some additional choices for folks.

Start a crock pot using food pantry staples—diced tomatoes, rice or noodles, canned chicken, beans, etc., you get the idea. Offer a taste to those who attend the exchange. Promote your cookbook club during this event.

Perhaps reach out to local specialty food stores who may have someone on staff who can do a cooking demo. What about contacting your local OSU extension office? Some local hospitals may offer a healthy eating course. And of course, there are many non-profits like the Diabetes Association that may have a program ready to go.

I recently started a cookbook club at our library, but it's having a bit of trouble catching on. For January, we tossed around the idea of bringing someone in to talk about meal prepping, healthy eating on the go, etc. I was wondering if anyone has ever done something similar to this/ knows of any one I could connect with about doing this program.
