Take 5: A Teen Services Event
Friday, May 2, 9:30 am - 4:15 pm (doors open 9:00 am)
Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library, Main Library Annex, 140 S Paint St, Chillicothe

?  A day of learning and dialogue among empathetic peers who care about teens and who have experience and wisdom to share
?  A participatory Nonviolent Communication mini-workshop with Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio coach and facilitator Zach Yocum
?  Inspiration and wisdom from author, filmmaker, and educator Donte Woods-Spikes
?  Talk tables on timely topics and big-picture perspectives
?  A self-care petting zoo and an introverts' recharge room
?  A friendly face-off featuring a panel of teens and a panel of librarians
?  Network-building, idea-sharing, inspiration, and affirmation
?  Lunch from Casa Del Taco (GF and vegetarian options available) and morning refreshments

Take 5 is a day of dialogue and discovery for public library teen and youth services specialists, school librarians, and other youth advocates. Take 5 is a peer-to-peer event, planned and produced by collaborating librarians with support from host libraries. Take 5 is also supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The 2025 event is cosponsored by SERLS: Southeast Ohio Regional Library System.
