EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 

Children's Outreach Associate, Part-Time (80 hrs./month) 

 

DATE OF POSTING: January 15, 2025 

 

LOCATION: Springboro Branch, 125 Park Lane, Springboro, OH 45066

 

SCHEDULE: The Library operates seven (7) days a week and requires staff
members to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Children's Outreach Associate primarily focuses on
developing and delivering library services and programs for children, such
as storytimes and other educational activities, to various sites outside of
the library, such as schools and other community locations. The Associate
assists the Children's Service Coordinator in creating, implementing, and
presenting programs and services for children ages 6 months - 12 years and
in maintaining the children's collection. The Associate also provides
customer service and performs a variety of tasks related to assisting
patrons, reference services, technology assistance, and collection and
patron account maintenance. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or comparable work
experience with children preferred. Exhibit creativity in the creation and
development of programming and storytelling techniques. Present the
Franklin-Springboro Public Library and its services in a positive manner and
adhere to best practices as established by the Library. 

 

BENEFITS: This is a part-time non-exempt position. The starting hourly pay
rate for this position is $15.00. Benefits include vacation leave and
membership in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.
