YOUTH SERVICES LIBRARIAN
Full Time, 40 hours per week

Euclid Public Library is accepting applications for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and creative Youth Services Librarian. Successful candidates must be passionate about providing an exceptional library experience for all patrons, especially teens and children. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities for this position include: providing reference service to patrons in-person, by phone and email, assisting patrons with using library equipment and accessing library resources, preparing and presenting library programs, conducting school visits, and developing the juvenile nonfiction and eBook collections. On a rotating basis, the incumbent will serve as Senior in Charge of the building in the absence of a manager.
Qualifications:  MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program required; students within 6 credits of graduation are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of youth literature and popular culture is essential; valid Ohio driver’s license required.
Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays 12:45-9:00pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00am-5:00pm, alternating Fridays (8:00am-5:00pm) and Saturdays (8:30am-5:00pm). Overtime Sunday work available October to May.
Hourly Rate: Starting rate: $24.66 per hour
