The Wayne County Public Library is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager for its Adult Services Department.

About the job:
Responsibilities: Assists in the general management of the Adult Department: assists with training new hires; acts as a resource for department staff; assists patrons at the reference desk; assists, as needed, with daily tasks within the department; oversees the scheduling of reference desk, acts as manager in the absence of the Adult Manager; leads and coordinates special projects within the department. Acts as “Person in Charge”, assists Library staff in resolving building or patron issues.
Qualifications: MLS or MLIS with previous public library experience, including a special emphasis on local history and/or genealogy, and project management.
Working Conditions: Full-time, exempt position.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Starting Salary: Starts at $45,448 annually, corresponding to qualifications and experience. This position includes full benefits including insurance, retirement, vacation and paid sick leave.
