[OPLINLIST] Angelyn Hellman Joins State Library Staff as Talking Books Supervisor

[cid:image004.jpg at 01DB8DD6.4DBA89F0]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Angelyn Hellman has joined our staff as Talking Books Supervisor. She is responsible for the Talking Book Program services at State Library, coordinating our efforts with Ohio Library for the Blind and Print Disabled (OLBPD) and the National Library Service. Angelyn processes applications, provides customer service support to patrons and oversees the machine lending for Talking Book machines, Braille e-readers and accessories for the entire state of Ohio.

 "We are very excited that Angelyn has joined the State Library’s management team,” expressed Ryan Burley, Deputy Director of State Library Operations. “She is an experienced manager and librarian who has served in a variety of roles in libraries. Angelyn brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to the leadership of our Talking Book Program.”

 Angelyn’s extensive experience includes work in public and academic libraries, and museums. She joins our staff after nearly three years at Troy-Miami County Public Library in Troy, Ohio where she was the Oakes-Beitman Branch Manager and then Public Services Manager. Prior to that, Angelyn held positions as Collection Management Librarian and Information Librarian at the Tipton County Public Library in Tipton, Indiana. In addition,
Angelyn served in a variety of library and museum related positions at Miami County Museum in Peru, Indiana; Belmont College in St. Clairsville, Ohio; Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio; and Tipp City Public Library in Tipp City, Ohio.

 Angelyn earned a Master of Archival Studies and Master of Library and Information Studies (MASLIS) from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University.
