Are you passionate about combating misinformation and empowering others with media literacy skills? We invite you to present at Fact Check: Educating for the Truth, a free symposium on June 18, 2025, at NEOnet in Cuyahoga Falls.

Sponsored by Kent State University's iSchool, the School of Media and Journalism, and OELMA, this event brings together librarians, educators, journalists, and students to share strategies, tools, and research on tackling misinformation.

We're seeking engaging 45-minute sessions on topics such as:

  *   Fact-checking tools & techniques
  *   Media literacy in education
  *   The role of librarians and educators in truth-seeking
  *   The impact of AI and social media on misinformation
