Hi Martha,

The portal has an annoying habit of autogenerating Form 471 tasks this time of year. This happens if you have incomplete forms under "Tasks" that were started during the filing window. I suggest going to the Task list and clicking on any form starting with "Create Form."  You may have to accept the first task, but then click on "Discard Form."  That will stop the emails.

Hi Lorrie and Christine,

I received this email message over the weekend. I thought it was something to do with our hotspot request at first, but it just looks like a task to create a form 471, which I already did for hotspots. I also found this on our list of tasks in the USAC system, which made me feel a little better because our FO thought this message looked like spam. But I have no idea why I got this task. While I was poking around in USAC trying to figure out how to find the status of the 471 I submitted (which I still haven't figured out), the system added more tasks just based on pages I landed on. But I didn't get emails about those new random tasks. So I am not sure where this particular task came from over the weekend and if it's something I can ignore.
