Hello fellow library folks,
I would like to invite you, your staff and your community to attend the
Canal Town Book Festival on Saturday, October 3 from 10am-3pm.

DOVER, Ohio - Book lovers and aspiring writers are invited to the Dover
High School Gym on Saturday, October 3, from 10am - 3pm, for this free,
family-friendly celebration of literature and storytelling.

Headlining this year’s event are three standout authors: “Lil’ John” Rinaldi
of the legendary Big Chuck & Lil’ John television show, New York Times
bestselling author Linda Castillo, known for her Kate Burkholder thriller
series, and acclaimed novelist Robin Yocum. They will be joined by more
than 65 additional authors from across the state, offering attendees a rare
chance to chat one-on-one, purchase signed books and find perfect holiday
gifts for the readers in their lives.

This festival isn’t just for browsing, it’s a learning experience. The
schedule features engaging presentations, including:

   Laughing My Way Through Life with “Lil’ John” Rinaldi

   More Than Words: Intention, Empathy, Inclusion, and Respect in Books

   Tips and Tricks for Promoting Your Book


Young readers are welcome too, with children’s activities, prize giveaways
and food trucks to keep the whole family fueled throughout the day.


About the Canal Town Book Festival

Now in its 6th year, the Canal Town Book Festival has continued to grow and
provide a place for readers and writers to connect. The purpose is to give
local independent and veteran authors an opportunity to share their work
with the community.

Join us Saturday, October 3, 2025 from 10am - 3pm at Dover High School Gym
228 W. 6th St. Dover, Ohio 44622.

This event is free and open to the public with free and plentiful parking
at Dover High School.
