Senior IT Technician, Main Library (Downtown Canton) (Full-time - 40 Hours/Week)
FLSA non-exempt, Min:  $21.40/hour


Stark Library is hiring a full-time (40 hours/week) Senior IT Technician to answer phone calls and address ticket requests coming into the HelpDesk from other Library staff.  This role also acts as an additional end-user support resource along with other IT staff and have light project duties assigned to them.
The Library is open to the public Monday through Saturday (with at least two branches open on Sundays during the school year) and evenings up to 8pm throughout the week.  Candidates should expect to work at least two evening shifts (up to 8pm), participate in an every other Friday/Saturday rotation with other IT staff, and assist with Sunday (12-5pm) coverage every other week.
This role is primarily in-office; however, some limited remote hours will be expected to complete the weekly full-time schedule and as needed.

Adult Librarian, Jackson Community Branch (Full-time - 40 Hours/Week)
FLSA non-exempt, Min:  $21.40/hour

Are you a creative, service-driven librarian with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment? Jackson Community Branch, a high traffic branch within the Stark Library system, is located in the heart of Jackson Township, just across from Jackson High School.
We are seeking an Adult Librarian to lead adult programming, build a strong and responsive collection, and drive outreach efforts that connect the library to the community. This branch also services as a busy passport facility, and the successful candidate must be willing to train and certify as a passport agent. In addition to developing adult services, the Adult Librarian, will work at public service points assisting with circulation, technology, and patron support. Strong time management, multi-tasking ability and excellent customer service skills are essential, along with a flexible, team-oriented mindset.
This full-time position includes a regular schedule of two evenings per week plus a rotating Friday/Saturday schedule.

Adult Specialist, Madge Youtz Branch (Part -time - 28 Hours/Week)
FLSA non-exempt, Min:  $17.06/hour



Stark Library is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Part-Time Adult Library Specialist at our Madge Youtz branch. This role will steward our thriving art studio programming and book clubs while expanding engagement with older adults and our local Spanish-speaking community. In addition to leading and developing adult programming, the Adult Library Specialist will work regularly at the circulation and business desks, providing a welcoming service to all patrons. This staff member also plays an important role in Business Services, Tech Help and 1:1 job help.  The ideal candidate must be able to provide on-on-one assistance with technology, digital literacy and job-seeking skills and will be expected to attend regular programming meetings. The ideal candidate will carry forward our established programming schedule-maintaining the quality and consistency our patrons value-while developing fresh, responsive programs that reflect the needs and interests of the surrounding neighborhood. We are looking for someone who is excited to welcome more adult patrons into the library through creative outreach, inclusive program design, and a genuine passion for community connection.



Children's Specialist, Madge Youtz Branch (Full -time - 40 Hours/Week)
FLSA non-exempt, Min:  $17.06/hour



Located on Mahoning Rd., in Canton, OH, the Madge Youtz Branch is hiring a full-time (40 hours/week) Children's Specialist to inspire children from birth to age 10 through engaging programs both inside the library and out in the community at day cares, schools, and summer programs. The ideal candidate will maintain our established programming schedule-ensuring the quality and consistency patrons value-while creating fresh, responsive programs that meet the evolving needs of the neighborhood. This role also includes clerical support at the circulation and business desks, helping ensure smooth daily operations, and may involve assisting or acting as a backup for internal or external events outside the focus area. This position requires working two evenings per week and a rotating Friday/Saturday schedule. Experience teaching children or working in a day care setting is helpful. We are looking for a creative, energetic team player who can connect with diverse families, support our Spanish-speaking community, and bring fun, inclusive learning experiences to children.
