The ALA Reference and User Services Emerging Technologies Section Programming Committee is seeking panelists for a session at the 2026 ALA Annual Conference called "AI Beyond the Hype: Showcasing How Library Professionals Use Generative AI."
We have all heard the predictions about how generative artificial intelligence (AI) will change how we do our work. But it's time to have a real discussion about how it's going. Whether you are implementing an AI search tool for your library catalog, using AI to write the code to build the app you always wanted, having students create AI generated art to express themselves, or otherwise using generative AI to solve a problem facing your patrons, we want to hear from you!
Let us know if you would like to be part of our panel during the 2026 ALA Annual Conference by answering our Call for Panelists<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://forms.gle/FkN8BvNwBduTursa7__;!!IaT_gp1N!xTDlcY5vuwQpG1NXwwXqqxhbmJsSbvSuYyZzFjzCX78ixAbKpR1MU4H0CatkIESzeWV-x_Xq_4ahUenwdarGJ1RTqvcZJ5-k$> by February 2nd at 12 pm EST. Thank you!
