Librarian (Youth Focus) - North Branch (189 25th NW, Canton, OH 44709) Full-time - 40 hours/week
FLSA Non-exempt, Min: $21.40/hour



Stark Library is seeking a Youth Librarian for the North Branch location located in Northwest Canton. The Youth Librarian plays a vital role in advancing the Library's mission to support early literacy, youth engagement, and community connection. This position provides leadership and oversight of all youth-focused programming, collections, and services at the branch, ensuring high-quality experiences for children, teens, and their families. By fostering community partnerships, delivering engaging programs such as storytimes and maintaining dynamic and relevant collections, the Youth Librarian helps sustain essential services that build trust and enrich the community.

The Librarian is also responsible for establishing and maintaining key external relationships (e.g., authors, publishers, organizations, etc.) on behalf of their location or department and representing the Library in various outreach capacities. The Librarian, in conjunction with the Branch Manager, helps set location goals for their own work as well as that of the rest of the staff and helps lead system-wide projects.
