[OPLINLIST] ILEAD Ohio Returns in 2027

The State Library of Ohio<https://library.ohio.gov/> and OhioNet<https://www.ohionet.org/> are pleased to announce the return of ILEAD Ohio<https://library.ohio.gov/libraries/training-and-development/ilead-ohio/ilead-ohio> in 2027. ILEAD Ohio is a transformative 9-month program designed to develop the leadership and project management skills of library staff across the state. By working in teams to address real community needs, participants will gain hands-on experience in project management, team-building, and community collaboration.

“What makes ILEAD unique is the opportunity for library professionals from different library types to come together as teams, develop projects that make a difference in their communities, and learn from one another along the way. Through that experience, participants build valuable leadership and project management skills while discovering what they can accomplish through collaboration,” shared Katy Mathuews, Executive Director & CEO of OhioNet.

Evan T. Struble, Associate State Librarian for Library Development at the State Library of Ohio, added, “Since ILEAD began in 2013, we’ve seen the impact this program can have on library staff and the communities they serve. We look forward to welcoming the 2027 cohort and seeing the ideas, partnerships, and projects that emerge from their experience.”

The ILEAD Ohio steering committee comprised of Mathuews, Struble, Erin Kelsey (State Library), and Andrew Whitis (OhioNet) invites those interested in applying for the program to join a virtual info session on Thursday, December 17 from 1-2 p.m. This informal webinar will provide a brief overview of the ILEAD Ohio program, application process, tips for creating a team, and time for questions.
