Ohio libraries are a valued partner in family engagement; we invite you to share an exciting opportunity with the families you serve.



The Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center is now accepting applications for the 2027 Family Leaders for Ohio Schools Academy<https://ohiofamiliesengage.osu.edu/family-leaders-for-ohio-schools-academy/>. This program is grant-funded and is offered at no cost to families. The Academy is designed for parents and caregivers of children in K-12 Ohio public schools who want to:

  *   Connect with other families across the state
  *   Build leadership skills
  *   Make a meaningful impact in their child's school community


Please share this invitation with parents and caregivers.  The Academy is in its third year, and participants have been making incredible impacts in their school communities and with other families. All school communities can benefit from families participating in the Academy! Parents learn how to successfully partner and collaborate with the school to address shared challenges, and they graduate more confident in their ability to reach common goals.  Some of our recent graduates will be featured Live on WOSU Radio on September 14, 2026, to talk about how the Academy has helped them be better leaders and advocates for all students.
