[OPLINLIST] OhioNet announces New to Libraries Network Virtual Monthly Meet-Ups, starting Oct. 8

Build your peer mentorship network by joining New to Libraries Network (NLN) for a series of Virtual Monthly Meet-Ups! These monthly sessions will consist of a mix of presentations and discussions focused on one topic per month to build a community of support and development for those early in their library careers.

As we gear up for the fall conference season, the October Meet-Up<https://www.ohionet.org/event/new-to-libraries-network-october-virtual-meet-up?swcfpc=1> will focus on engaging with conferences. This first virtual session will take place on Thursday, October 8, from 3-4 p.m.

At the October Meet-Up, attendees can:

  *   Share conferences they’re attending or interested in to help raise awareness of the many opportunities available to develop your skills and share your work.
  *   Learn tips and tricks about how to navigate conferences big and small.
  *   Arrange informal meet-ups at upcoming conferences.
  *   And more!

OhioNet is proud to steward New to Libraries Network (NLN), a supportive community for aspiring and new to the field professionals offering resources for professional growth, networking, and career development. NLN is a community open to anyone new to libraries including MLIS students, library staff, information professionals, librarians from any kind of library with 10 years or less experience, and those interested in working in libraries.
