Marketing & Engagement Coordinator





At NEO-RLS, our work is centered on supporting libraries and the incredible people who work in them. But our appreciation for libraries doesn’t stop there. We’re also former librarians, library card holders, book borrowers, program attendees, and enthusiastic users of all the wonderful things our libraries have to offer. In fact, a few days ago we had a staff meeting at Twinsburg Public Library!



We are also all big readers and some of our recent reads came directly from our local libraries. In honor of Library Card Sign-Up Month, I thought it would be fun to share some books our staff have recently finished thanks to their library cards.

The Eyes Are the Best Part by Monika Kim. If unsettling slow burns, body horror, and a healthy dose of feminine rage sound like your idea of a good time, this is the perfect read to kick off spooky season!



Melissa Lattanzi, Continuing Education Coordinator

I really like thrillers, especially when there is a twist that you do not see coming. I just recently read Someone Else’s Husband by Kimberly McCreight. This is the first of her books that I have read, and I will be seeking more. This was suspenseful, and it kept you guessing as to who done it as well as other intricacies throughout the book.

I recently finished This Inevitable Ruin by Matt Dinniman, the seventh book in the popular Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I’ve seen several folks online mention this book was their favorite of the series, and I can absolutely see why! Carl, Donut, and their crew had me feeling a roller coaster of emotions in this one (including crying my way through the last third).

We Need You! Help Plan the 2027 Summer Reading Workshops



Well, it is now September and we must start to plan for the 2027 Summer Reading Workshops.  We are looking for enthusiastic library staff who serve youth, teen, and adult patrons to assist in designing our upcoming summer reading programs.



Note: Being on the committee does not require you to present during the programs.



We will be meeting virtually at the following times:

Children’s-Monday, October 19th at 11 am
Teen-Monday, October 26th at 11 am
Adult-Monday, November 2nd at 11 am

Registration Now OPEN for ODNFest 2026: Authenticity in the Digital Age



The State Library of Ohio will host the ODNFest: Authenticity in the Digital Age on October 8, 2026 at the Columbus Metropolitan Library: Dublin Branch in Dublin, Ohio. ODNFest is an opportunity for library and museum digitization professionals to gather and explore current and relevant digitization topics. This year, the event will focus on authenticity in the rapidly changing digital landscape as library professionals navigate AI, authenticity in digital collections, and so much more.

Cuyahoga County Public Library Helps Patrons Live Their Dreams



A recent article from Freshwater Cleveland highlights how the Innovation Center at the Warrensville Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library helped a patron realize her dream of becoming a dressmaker and fashion designer. Her work has expanded to allow for Kent State University School of Fashion students to join her as interns!
