[OPLINLIST] News from CSLP annual meeting: 2029 program slogan and 2030 theme

The Collaborative Summer Library Program annual meeting took place this week. Among other business, CSLP state reps voted their states' choices for 2029 program slogan and 2030 program theme.

The slogan for the 2029 Nature-themed CSLP summer program will be Curiosity Takes Root / La Curiosidad Echa Raices.
The theme for the 2030 CSLP summer program will be Food.

Thank you for participating in the recent theme and slogan survey and giving us direction for Ohio's vote at the CSLP annual meeting. Over 625 Ohio library workers completed the survey for 2029 slogan and 2030 theme, which is an amazing turnout! There was support for every one of the nominated 2029 slogans and 2030 themes; however, Curiosity Takes Root and Food each were the clear winner in their category in the Ohio survey. So once again, Ohio got our statewide 1st choice for upcoming slogan and theme! We have a good track record of our state-level winning themes and slogans going on to be selected in the national CSLP state reps' vote.

Potential slogans for the 2030 Food theme will be developed next year, with input from the CSLP membership (you!), and voted on at the 2027 CSLP annual meeting.

Meanwhile, in coming weeks, the 2027 Mysteries Await at Your Library program manual will be released, and the CSLP storefront will open. The Mysteries Await manual code will be emailed to the summer library program point person or people at each Ohio public library system.

CSLP themes, slogans, artwork, manuals, and all other CSLP resources reflect the creativity and feedback of library workers and summer library program planners like you. Thank you for the many ways you support and engage your communities in the summer and throughout the year!
