DIRECTOR: The Ohio Valley Area Libraries, Ohio’s oldest chartered regional
library system, seeks a director to lead the organization into the future.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE MLS from an ALA-accredited program, 3 yrs’ experience
in the library field and 3 yrs’ administrative experience, a driver’s
license, access to a car, and willingness to travel within the region. Must
be familiar with modern principles of business and public administration as
applied to libraries; have knowledge of professional library technology,
policies, systems, and procedures; be able to plan and administer continuing
education programs; and be wiling to represent OVAL to community groups and
agencies and to the Ohio library community. Contract position, salary
$40,000-$50,000 commensurate with qualifications. For more information or to
