[OPLINTECH] surplus equipment

I always enjoyed visiting the Columbus Metropolitan Library's used asset
sales. I was able to pick up older Pentium computers with keyboards, mice
and monitors all for about $55. Missing, of course, were operating systems
and other software along with any kind of warranty. That was fine. I
loaded Linux for the operating system and used other public domain software
to build a fine networked computer training laboratory to teach folks in my
neighborhood how to use computers.
The neighborhood association provides the space, I provide the expertise and
used library equipment (and now my church has contributed more equipment and
software) all together providing technology classes for people who didn't
have an opportunity to learn computers in school but who now feel a real
need to know more about them.
.
So - asset sales provided the seed for this neighborhood improvement
project.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] surplus equipment

Hello,
My question is not a technical one. Would you please send a copy of your
Board policy for disposal of old computer equipment? Appreciate it.
Thanks,
