Most of the responses were sent to the list. The ones that were sent
directly to me:
~~~~~
We started using LCD monitors about a year ago. We have them on 15 public
PC's, our Web OPAC's and most staff PC's at our main facility and on our
circulation workstations at all facilities (that includes our branches). We
use mostly Phillips and Acer 15" monitors. So far they have held up
beautifully. Minimal care and they are used heavily. They are great space
savers in the public and circulation areas.
~~~~~
Hi,
We have had LCD monitors out about 4 months on our Internet PCs and a little
over a month on our patron PCs. We haven't had any problems so far. They
take up less space and look nice.
When we put the monitors out on the Internet PCs, we did not change the
CPUs. However, several patrons remarked how much they liked our new
computers and how much faster they were than the old ones..
We also recently started using touch screen LCD monitors at our staff
workstations. (The patron monitors are not touch screen.)

Clint,
Could you share the results of those who responded? We are thinking of
purchasing some LCD monitors for public stations also.
Thanks

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question on the LCD monitors! You've
been a great help, and we'll take your feedback under advisement as we work
on our plan.
