Thanks for the responses. We currently have been working with the SOYO
BayOne series and IOGear external USB products and I agree that both Newegg
and TigerDirect are some excellent browsing sources. (Of course Id still
like to find an exact OEM cable

You might wish to consider a front USB adapter. They plug into a drive bay
and have cables that plug into the USB headers on the motherboard.
Tigerdirect has one at

You can also find similar devices at www.newegg.com <http://www.newegg.com>
. Tigerdirect's model has a nifty feature....the device installs into a
5.25" drive bay, but includes rails so that a 3.5" device can still be
installed into the space.

Hello Oplintech...
We are migrating Gates machines to XP from NT. The original E-4600 Gates
version of Gateway chassis was supplied without front panel USB connectors
although the motherboard has a header available. Gateway says they no
longer have replacement connector modules for this series. Has anyone on
the list with Gates machines been faced with this ? We can put in a usb hub
and/or card reader into a 5 ½" drive bay, but would prefer to use the OEM
style cable if anyone has identified a viable substitute.
Thanks. I realize that success in this is improbable.
