Office of Information Technology Customer Update - December 2, 2005

 

Scheduled Maintenance:

 

When: Every Tuesday

 

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

 

December 6, 13, 20  - OIT engineers will make configuration changes to
our Internet Border Routers (ISPRHO and ISPSOC). Brief outages are
expected.

 

December 6, 13, 20 - January 3, 10, 17, 24 - OIT engineers will be
migrating customers to the new Columbus Core Network. These moves will
be coordinated with the customers by their customer engineers. 

 

During the migration to the new Columbus Core Network, customer
engineers are planning to work with each agency on current and future
bandwidth requirements.

 

Completed Maintenance:

 

OIT engineers made configuration changes to our Internet Border Routers
(ISPRHO and ISPSOC)

 

OIT engineers replaced a power supply in a router (OITSOC3) within the
OIT Enterprise Network.

 

OIT engineers continue to move customers to the new Columbus Core
Network

 

 

Monthly Firewall Maintenance:

 

When: Third Tuesday of every Month

 

Next Scheduled Maintenance: December 20, 2005

 

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

 

The Network Security Group will be performing firewall maintenance. Less
than three minute outages are expected during the maintenance window.
