Office of Information Technology Customer Update - December 30, 2005
 
 
Scheduled Maintenance:
 
When: Every Tuesday
 
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

January 10 - OIT engineers will be moving the VPN head-end connection
from the existing core to the new Columbus Core Network.
Agency-to-agency and agency-to-OIT connectivity via the Inter-agency VPN
will be interrupted.  

January 24 - OIT engineers will be moving the OIT Enterprise Environment
connection from the existing core to the new Columbus Core Network.
Connectivity to all services provided by OIT Enterprise Computing
(Mainframe Services, Database Services, Unix Services, Windows
Services), OIT Enterprise Shared Services and OIT Secure Hosting
Services will be interrupted.  

January 3, 10, 17 -  OIT engineers will make configuration changes to
our secondary Internet Border Router.  No outage is expected.
 
January 3, 10, 17, 24 -  OIT engineers will be migrating customers to
the new Columbus Core Network. These moves will be coordinated with the
customers by their customer engineers. 
 
During the migration to the new Columbus Core Network, customer
engineers are planning to work with each agency on current and future
bandwidth requirements.
 
 
Completed Maintenance:
 
OIT engineers made configuration changes to our Internet Border Routers.
 
OIT engineers continue to move customers to the new Columbus Core
Network
 
 
Monthly Firewall Maintenance:
 
When: Third Tuesday of every Month
 
Next Scheduled Maintenance: January 17, 2006
 
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
 
The Network Security Group will be performing firewall maintenance. Less
than three minute outages are expected during the maintenance window.
