Accounting Department, Technical Services Division, Ohio State University

Elizabeth Brice (Head, Technical Services, Miami University Libraries) What
kind of organizational culture best suits the demands Technical Services

University Libraries and Media Services) Collaborating to provide
experienced-based learning for library school students while getting real
work done. It is predicted that Technical Services units will face severe

Technical Services division sees this work as the specific contribution
they can make to solutions for that troubling situation.

Digital Services Inside TS
John Millard (Digital Initiatives Librarian, Miami University Libraries)
will discuss issues related to the development of a Digital Services Unit
within a TS department.

Expanding the Tools
Ross Shanley-Roberts (Special Projects Cataloger, Miami University

documents with PHP and macros.

All About Metadata and Knowledge Organizations Systems
Marcia Lei Zeng (Professor, School of Library and Information Science Kent
State University) will cover issues in moving from traditional cataloging
to metadata and knowledge organization systems including metadata quality,
